Fadimatu, 24, washes her face in her home before an afternoon prayer in an IDP camp, Maiduguri, Nigeria, April 21, 2019. On August 2014, while she was admitted to a college, she was abducted by a Boko Haram fighter and was raped by four fighters on arrival at the Sambisa Forest. She was pregnant by one of the offenders and stayed in the forest for two and half years before being rescued by the Nigerian Army. Now living in the IDP camp, she started her own small business of making fruit juice and travelled overseas to give out testimonies.
