Nyamai Billiew, 35, digs in the ground with a pickax to grow some crops inside the Bidibidi refugee settlement. She was raped by six Dinka soldiers in July 2016 when the fighting had erupted in Juba. When she was running towards the UN compound with her then three-year-old son, those soldiers stopped seven women including her and raped them. She hasn't heard about her husband or parents since then. She gave birth to a baby as a result of the rape and was born in Bidibidi camp.
