Nuer women survivors of sexual violence by Dinka soldiers in South Sudan sit in their communal area inside Bidibidi refugee settlement in northern Uganda. Some of them live with the children who were born as a result of a gang-rape and all of their husbands were either killed or missing. The brutal civil war in South Sudan in both 2013 and 2017 have prompted a massive upsurge of sexual violence, as the country's Nuer and Dinka tribes seek to dominate and humiliate one another.
